JustaChat 2026

JustaChat.com is one of the oldest online chat rooms on the internet. Since our beginning in 2000 we've been dedicated to providing people from all over the world a safe, fun, and free place to chat online. In 2008 all of that came to an abrupt end. We were forced to shut down due to changes in the online atmosphere. Our java chat client went extinct and with it our beloved chat rooms. But now, in 2026, we are back and better than ever!

What Happened?

The internet has changed a lot since 2008. Social media took over and instant messaging apps became the norm. People no longer needed chat rooms to connect with others. However, there is still a place for chat rooms in today's world. They offer a unique experience that can't be found on social media or messaging apps. Chat rooms provide a sense of community and anonymity that is hard to find elsewhere.

What's coming?

What's coming is huge. We are working hard to bring back all of your favorite chat rooms from the past including Teen Chat, Adult Chat, Singles Chat, and Dating Chat. But that's not all. We are also introducing new features and chat rooms that will enhance your chat experience. We're still using IRC, we're introducing audio, video, and giphy. JAC has been gone a long time, but now stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to relaunch JustaChat.com!

What about Chatspace?

Unfortunately Chatspace will not be returning. The technology that powered Chatspace is no longer viable. Exploits and attacks have made it impossible to run a secure chat platform using that technology. However, we are exploring new and modern technologies that will allow us to bring back a similar experience in the future. We've upgraded to the best web chat platform available today and are excited to bring you a fresh new chat experience.
