does anyone know anything about pigeons? i've had this pigeon lay an egg on my belcony and it finally hatched 2 weeks ago (one died). anyway, i havent seen the mother for ages. my friend told me its disowned the chic coz i feed it all the time which i hope is not the case. anyway, does anyone know why the mother has left it?

It smells human scent on it & doesn't recognize them as it's chicks because they smell wrong. If you don't want it to die you'll have to keep on feeding it until it learns to fly & get its own food.

You have to chew the worm up and spit it in the birds mouth... if you dont it'll die, and that will be your fault. :/

Get some worms from a bait & tackle shop & squash them, they'll eat that. Bread is fine too though, pigeons eat everything.

If you want to tech it to eat on its own try feeding it banana off a matchstick, I'm serious I saved a chick from my cat once and the SPCA told me to do that and so yeah, it worked
