They prefer two types of play - outdoor play with other children and indoor solitary playtime. His physical abilities have improved and he is good at bicycle riding, sports activities, dancing, and other physically active play skills. He gets tremendous satisfaction from using his good motor skills in play. Seven is a great time to broaden the child's exposure to sports, dance, martial arts, and the like to use his new physical abilities and build a sense of competence in this area.
Because of introverted tendencies, solitary play is also important. They will spend time alone in their room playing with cars, action figures, or dolls. They especially enjoys organizing collections of toys or trading cards. This gives them time to think, a sense of possession, and decompression from the frequent fights and arguments in the peer group.
They also enjoy playing board and card games with mom or dad.

Well what I would do (I don't have kids so don't hold my suggestion to high regards)
is buy like a n64 (they are cheap provided you can find them)
I mean I have 7 and 10 year old's here all the time (don't get the wrong idea) they are my cousins
and they play my 64 non stop
they wont let me play :(
