Mourning

Death and destruction all around
Mangled bodies on the ground
The air tense when pain inside
Their feelings that cannot hide

Grieving, Hurt and in sorrow
Mourning for they are gone tomorrow
Bright light that was shining
Darkened by women crying

The chilled scream of a widow
His child crying into the pillow
Wanting to hold onto the life
Painful moaning of his wife

The funeral, chruch with the steeple
Fill to the doors with people
The paying of respect for the dead
Sad thoughts that fill your head

The cemertry scent filled grounds
Children quietly looking around
The placing of flowers on the coffin
Whispering the final farewell

Always remembered in peoples hearts
As this life ends another starts
So journey forward to the another time
But always remember that place of mine

From now till the time we are together again
I will always remember you my friend
In the hearts of the loved ones who fall
We will never forget you at all
