ah, i need to still figure out how to have a color photo, turn it black and white, and then only let some of the color show.

i also need to figure out how to take a part of one image and add it into another one >_<

Ok I can only answer your first question right now, I will edit this post when I know the second one.

Duplicate your layer with colour and Desaturate it (sorry I'm not on PS now so I can't get the menu order for you)

Put it above your coloured layer.

Get your eraser and erase parts of the desaturated image that you wont to be coloured and you will see it has the colour fromt he bottom layer there.
