I couldn't believe there wasn't a thread for this movie yet! Is anybody else excited for this to come out? I've been skeptical especially after the last few movies (I feel like they are getting farther and farther away from the books), but the trailer (http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/harry-potter-and-half-blood-prince/trailer-b) looks awesome.

Yeah I definently want to see it, I saw the trailer for it for some movie that I saw recently. Maybe it was X-Men?

I think I saw the old teaser trailer preceding Star Trek.

It may have been playing the trailer during a couple of different movies. I have seen it only once in the theaters.

I haven't seen the trailer in the cinemas yet. tbh I'm not that excited about it anyway. The films have got a bit rubbish.

Yeah I feel similar, but this is where the books get really good, and the trailer is awesome. I think (hope, at least) that as the material gets darker, that will inform a more accurate adaptation of the remaining books.

I felt their decision to split the last book into two films was good though, as it would probably make them better, as they get more stuff from the book in.

For sure. I think if they get the ending of the series right, the sort of lackluster middle book adaptations will be forgiven (or forgotten).

yeah the movie was AMAZING! did you realize how much money it made either ? http://www.publishersweekly.com/article/CA6671416.html check out that article! They also mentioned stuff about another whole bunch of books to check out.. I was already interested in The Fairy Godmother Academy because i read a chapter of it on the website for the book. it's like a girl harry potter. have you seen any of those ?

I saw it the other day. I thought it was good, but I was rather disappointed with the ending. They totally cut out the massive fight in the school, and Dumbledore's funeral!

I haven't read the books so I have no idea. Maybe it will be at the beginning of the last movie? It's hard to believe they would not show his funeral.

Yeah I thought it would be at the start of the next film. I've started reading the 7th book again and it's become very obvious that they would've really struggled to put it all into one movie. I also realised that some of the stuff they missed in the 5th & 6th films will force them to alter the storyline somewhat... You should really read the books they have so much that isn't in the films.
