Hmmm, hundreds of thousands of American soldiers killed because everyone was afraid of communism in some shitsplat country that sells rice... Awesome comparison.
There was no problem in Vietnam, firstly, their civil war was their own problem & we poked our noses into it, first by sending advisors to the ARVN & then by sending in troops to aid them against the VC & NVA forces, which were being supplied by Russia (Cuz we supplied the Afghanis during their war with Russia & Russia was pissed still) as well as China & North Korea etc. The VC were willing to do whatever it took to win the war, suicide bombings, torture, etc.
We were in Vietnam for something like 16 years & solved nothing. By staying we would have lost even more soldiers in a very unpopular war that couldn't be won, the war could have gone on indefinitely, so we decided to call it quits & pull out of a confrontation we shouldn't have been in in the first place. It isn't America's job to play big brother to all of the world's other countries to try & make them play nice with each other.
Your argument isn't valid. Vietnam has no bearing on the war in Iraq. Come up with an opinion that doesn't cause a massive loss of I.Q. in whoever has the misfortune to stumble across your post before you reply to this, please.

America likes to have a hand in everything or some reason, I personally think we need to back off & take care of our own troubles before we go trying to help other countries with theirs. I hate that we give out billions in foreign aid per year when we have people living on the streets & eating out of trash cans in our own country. I hate that we care more for some starving people in some other country than we do for our own citizens.
Don't even get me started on animal health care & stuff, we have people here taking better care of dogs & cats than we do human beings, some hospitals won't treat people who can't cover their bills, seriously, a few years ago in Atlanta a man suffering from a gunshot wound was denied treatment because he didn't have insurance, but we have hospitals that 'rescue' animals & treat them for free, then waste even more money keeping them alive trying to find someone to 'adopt' it. The thousands wasted on a stray dog hit by a car could be used to fund cancer research, or to take care of an injured child who's family doesn't have enough cash to cover the bills or something, anything.

But i read about a 4 year old kid that was denied treatment for a fever in a hospital because her insurance didn't cover it and when her mother was trying to take her to another hospital she died on the way!! A 4 year old!! F#$k mate!! Since when has money become more important than human life??

Exactly, we're more worried about our wallets than our fellow man/woman. Even more than that, we're more worried about animals than other human beings. I know animals are beings capable of feeling pain & emotions & all, but they aren't human, we shouldn't be wasting so much money on them when there are people in need.

Mate!! You are so true. I reckon more money is spent on taking care of homeless and lost animals than providing a meal for the millions of homeless people in the us!! And who is the culprit behind the downfall of america, the freaking president. MR. GEORGE W BUSH. I think the W stands for wanker coz thats all he does in the white house!! I mean comeon in all this time he has not done one credible thing that you could say was worthy of a president. Did you know there was riot in his presidential rally! That was the first time a riot had taken place in the presidential rally in the history of america. I mean more than 60% of the constituents voted for a re-count. But because none of the senate members voted for it, it didn't go through!! Since the moment he stepped in to the white house he has done nothing but make the rich richer and make the poor poorer!!
If he is not remembered as the president who brought america to the brink of disaster then like bush himself said, "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me!!""

But like you said, we could feed, clothe, & provide a place to stay for the majority of homeless people in America if we diverted the funds used for animals to be used for people.

I wans't trying to say that bush was the problem behind people prefering animals rather than people. I think people, especially rich people, after a certain point in their life lose touch with what they really are and they just become what society and modern day culture wants them to be!! They are so pre-occupied in their own daily crap that they fail to see that there are people on the streets and even if they do they make the assupmtion that they got their because of their own faults like drugs or gambling or whatever. But so many people become homeless because of credit card debts or their mortgage. Its just a question of one paycheck coming late and they become bankrupt and homeless!! Somebody just needs to give these people another chance! And i have seen those homeless shelters, it is no place for a family to live. And the rising no. of people becoming homeless are families!!

In any case.... i just mentioned bush because i am like one of the most anit-bush person in this world. I just fcking loath the guy and hope he goes to hell one day, if there is one!!
