Friends

Sometimes the thing you want so much
isn't that hard to receive
It is something that can warm a soul
and make a frown change instantly.
They come and they go
leaving behind a trail of memories
of happiness but also a loss
because this feeling is no more.
And neither are they.
It seems to be like a feather in the wind
You find it, or it comes to you
and in a moment it's gone forever
because tht is the way the wind works
it lifts everything and takes it
and keeps going further and further away
until there's nothing left in sight.
Sometimes it seems like a rock
no matter what way the wind blows it stays
because it is strong enough to take anything that comes it's way
It's where it belongs and stays forever
until somebody picks it up and takes it away
leaving behind everything, and everyone.
Everything happens for a reason
there's no telling when or how it will
but it does and will happen
sometimes leaving you feel like dirt
used and left behind.
when the sun shines again
the flowers will grow and makes roots
and vines that spread up and out.
The wind will come once again
and slowly tear at the vines and the petals
but the roots will stay
and begin to grow new vines even stronger than before
because that is what they do
until the next season comes...
