WoW is so popular, popular meaning a 10 MILLION PERSON SUBSCRIBER BASE, because it achieves standards hitherto unreached by all other MMOs previously.
In the last 3 years every MMO that has come out to challange WoW has failed, with the exception of Guild Wars - but even GW has a miniscule subscriber base compared to WoW. Vanguard is a perfect example of this.
If WoW sucks then the 10 million people who play it are as retarded as you are, i.e. to the point of being unable to form coherant opinions based on fact.

The only game that has a chance of competing against WoW for MMO supremacy is Warhammer Online - from what I have seen in Beta. It has spent years perfecting the game, and has taken heavily from WoW in almost all areas of gameplay, and yet retains some level of original gameplay. But the point remains that 10 million people aren't all going to want to go through the pains of leveling a new character in a new game when to all extensive purposes WoW provides the gaming experience that they want.

And for the "get a life" comment, that is the most purile, unoriginal slur to use. "U leik sumthing I dnt leik. U r a *** then & hav no frends lol!"

you wouldnt hear me ranting about how supreme AoC is when it happens and someone asks if another MMO would be a good game. i would actually like look into the game and see what its all about. unlike you who is so brainwashed by how good you think WoW is you dont even think to try anything else. and all of this is beside the point anyway i just asked if anyone else was waiting for it to come out and asking basically if it would be a good game. and if want to rant and rave about how great WoW is fine. I dont like WoW i like Lineage 2 so much more. But i cant wait for AoC to come out. but to stop this argument from ever happening again,Idc you like WoW im just saying i dont like it and i just hate how everyone who plays WoW thinks its the greatest thing in the world and wont even give anything else a chance but i understand where you are coming from with the whole "not wanting to level a new character" thing because that makes sense.
